![]() The exhibition races were hard fought among the D35 fleet (Photo credit: Schmid Chris / EYEMAGE MEDIA) The ‘Lausannois’ had the opportunity today to watch some exciting racing, only metres from the shores of Lake Geneva, at Ouchy. 11 Décision 35 catamarans competed, grouped in two teams -Swiss skippers versus French skippers- in a series of races that saw the French beat the local team, 5 races to 3. Fresh from their D35 Challenge Julius Baer season victory, which concluded yesterday, Alinghi SUI1 was skippered by Ernesto Bertarelli with his regular D35 crew. Amongst others, they were pitted against their America’s Cup team mates, Alain Gautier and Loïck Peyron.
